CRAIG HODGES: THE FIRST NBA LEGEND TO HOLD BASKETBALL TRAINING IN SORSOGON!

It was a dream come true for every basketeer to have a face-to-face training with the king of the ring, Craig Hodges in his Hodge on Hoops Philippine Tour 2012 entitled: The Power of Effective Shooting, a basketball clinic held in Sorsogon City last April 20 to 21 this year.

It was participated in by more or less 300 kids who passionately enjoyed the shooting clinic conducted by an NBA legend - Craig Hodges.

Lungsod ng Sorsogon, Disyembre 123 (PIA) – Muling binuhay ngayong taon ng Rotary Club of Metro Sorsogon ang Search for Ten Outstanding Students of Sorsogon (TOSS) bilang tugon na rin sa pambansang adyenda ng pamahalaan na makabuo ng mga kabataang magiging globally competitive.

Ayon kay Rotarian Ed Balasta, nais nilang makabuo ng mga kabataang indibidwal na maaaring makasabay sa pandaigdigang kumpetisyon hindi lamang sa larangan ng edukasyon kundi maging sa aktibong pakikilahok sa mga aktibidad pangkomunidad at iba pang extra-curricular activities.

CCDI embraces Singapore’s CAL program

Mr. Felix G. Alfelor III, CCDI President formally approved the implementation of Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) to Computer Communication Development Institute effective this year.

CAL innovative instructional strategies are now being integrated in the curriculum of ICT courses of CCDI to address the global demand for highly-skilled IT professionals here and abroad. It is also expected that CCDI shall also offer CAL online learning modules.

CAL was established in Singapore in 1986 and became a global franchise in 2006. In 2007, CAL became a distributor of Mindleaders - a world leading e-learning provider, of more than 2,000 online learning modules to Southeast Asia and the Pacific region.

Panasonic, CCDI sign MOA

September 16, 2011. Panasonic System Network Philippine Corporation, represented by its Director Hirosyuki Nishida signed up a Memorandum of Agreement with Computer Communication Development, represented by Mr. Felix G. Alfelor III, CCDI President in the deployment of CCDI graduating students particularly of Computer Hardware Servicing NC II and Consumer Electronics NC III, all offered by this institution.

“This program will really help our students apply the theoretical knowledge and instructional skills they learned from the classrooms; thus, after training this will offer employment opportunity to our graduates in the same company.” Mr. Alfelor commented.In this memorandum, OJT students of CCDI will be undergoing technical training in Panasonic for six month. Each trainee will be receiving a reasonable amount of daily allowances.

Two Cum Laude graduates mark CCDI 14th Commencement Exercises

Jefferson Idago and Kathrine Lapayag were honored Cum Laude in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science as CCDI concluded the 14^th Commencement Exercises last April 9, 2011 in Sorsogon Provincial Gymnasium, Sorsogon City.

The academic community and the parents congratulated the two leading students and the rest of the graduates who manifested excellent performance in their education pursuit.
